Nancy O'Dell's debut work in the industry of broadcast was as an anchor and reporter at WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. In the following years, she worked as a morning news anchor and crime reporter at WCBD-TV. The journalist's report on the lack of police response to DUI incidents in Charleston caused an investigation conducted by the State Law Enforcement Division, which led to a change in directive from state authorities regarding DUI cases. In the year 2000, The Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell with its Best Report of the Years Award across all South Carolina Media. In the years following her stint in Charleston O'Dell served as anchor, co-anchor, and investigative reporter for NBC's Miami station WTVJ-TV prior to her move to Access Hollywood as a weekend anchor and a weekday reporter. As well as her work as a lead anchor for Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell is also a contributor to NBC News' Today and also to Dateline NBC. She has reported on the events such as The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards, as well co-hosting Pre ShowArrivals Programs during The Emmys.
